Osceola School District Choice Fair Nov. 18

The Osceola County School Board strongly believes that parents should decide which academic environment best meets their students’ needs. In order to inform parents and students of their expanded school choice options for the 2022-2023 school year, the Osceola School District will host a Choice Fair on Nov. 18, 2021, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Exhibition Center at Osceola Heritage Park to showcase the highquality options available to students and their families in kindergarten through Grade 12. Parents are encouraged to visit the Fair at the best time for their family’s schedule. Staff members in the district’s Educational Choices and Innovation Department will be available to assist parents in completing the choice application onsite at the designated electronic application center.

This free event will help families make sense of the district’s school choice process, and give them the tools they need to make the right choice for their children. All Osceola district schools are scheduled to attend the Choice Fair, and will have staff on hand to answer questions about their academic programs, extracurricular activities, student and parent services, and program admission requirements. The event, sponsored in part by Learning Partners for Success, Advent Health, and Kissimmee Utility Authority, will have free admission, free parking, giveaways, art and school exhibits, health screenings, and student performances.

The district’s online Choice application window for the 2022-2023 school year will run from Nov. 18, through Jan. 28, 2022. The application will be available during the Choice Fair at 4:30 p.m.

Students and parents with questions about school choice are encouraged to call the district’s Educational Choices and Innovation Department at 407-870-4847 or visit www. osceolaschools.net/choice.
