A 25-year-old man from Kissimmee was killed early Friday morning when Florida Highway Patrol troopers say his car collided with a construction truck in Seminole County.
According to the FHP report, the man was headed northbound on State Road 417 just north of Aloma Avenue around 12:45 a.m. when his Acura ILX collided with a construction drill truck parked in an active construction zone in a closed lane. Troopers say that, for unknown reasons, the Acura drifted into the closed lane and struck the rear of the truck. The driver was pronounced dead on scene.
The crash remains under investigation, FHP says.
