The Osceola Chamber honored those in service to the community Saturday, awarding Adrianna Sekula the Linda Goodwin-Nichols Service Award and Danny Ruiz Manrique the Bill Hansen Unity Award.
At the Chamber’s 101st Annual Meeting, the gavel also ceremonially passed, as 2025 Chairman Tim Weisheyer passed it on to 2026 Chairwoman Rebekah Hurd of AdventHealth, who dropped the Taylor Swift reference welcoming everyone to a ‘new era’ of the organization while noting a little can go a long way.
Sekula is founder and president of Solidarity Partners, a public affairs and business strategy consulting firm. Sekula previously managed local government relations at Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts.
“Winning the 2025 Linda Goodwin-Nichols Service Award is a profound joy and one of the most meaningful recognitions of my career,” said Sekula. “Linda has been an inspiration to me since I began my professional journey in Central Florida. I’ve seen firsthand throughout my life how that kind of social responsibility builds stronger communities and future generations, and this award affirms that commitment.”
Guillermo Hansen, founder of the Osceola Star and the very first winner of the Chamber’s Unity Award, set a precedent for those to follow. In recognition of Hansen’s legacy after his passing in 2023, the Chamber renamed the Unity Award to the Guillermo Hansen Unity Award. On Saturday, that award was presented to Ruiz Manrique—founder and CEO of Total Industrial Supplies Inc., a family-owned company that distributes industrial, security, and technology products to domestic and international markets; as well as an active civic leader, who joined the Osceola Chamber in 2021.
“God, family, and business. In that particular order,” said Ruiz Manrique. “I am truly humbled and deeply grateful to receive this award. Standing up here today is an honor that I do not take lightly.”
Weisheyer presented the first award of the night, the 2025 Chairman’s Award, to Michelle Chandler.
Newly inducted into the Osceola Chamber’s 2026 Hall of Fame is Atlee Mercer, an individual who embodies the core values of the Chamber— creating opportunity, embracing heritage, building unity, and delivering meaningful value to its members. Mercer is a retired technology entrepreneur who brought firsthand experience to the organization and leadership as Chair of the Board of Directors.
