A 41-year-old Kissimmee man and his passenger died early Friday morning when the Lamborghini Huracan he was driving rear ended another car on the Beachline Expressway, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to FHP's investigation, the crash occurred just after 2:15 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of State Road 528 approaching Orangewood Boulevard, not far from Interstate 4. Troopers say the Lamborghini was traveling above the posted speed limit in one of the center lanes, and failed to slow for a Ford F-550 truck driven by a 58-year-old man from Altamonte Springs, and struck the rear of the truck.
The driver and his passenger, a 41-year-old Windermere man, were both transported to an Orlando hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The F-550 driver was not injured and remained on scene, troopers say.
The crash remains under investigation.
