Osceola County saw a more than a 2 percent decrease in crime reporting in 2019, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The 2019 numbers from the FDLE Uniform Crime Report were compared to the 2018 statistics, which resulted in a 2.2 decrease.

A 21-year-old woman was killed Saturday in Kenansville after she hit a semi-truck head-on. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Denisha Glasford, 21, was driving a 2009 Toyota vehicle at about 5:10 a.m. northbound on Kenansville Road, near State Road 60.

#FeedOsceola: Helping less fortunate residents, struggling businesses

A seed to #FeedOsceola has been planted. A three-pronged approach to benefit Osceola County during the COVID-19 pandemic, and born from a local partnership, is designed to help those residents financially hard hit by the coronavirus with food and gift cards.

Ministry's drive-through food pantry draws 'miles' of vehicles

The line of cars waiting for food could have stretched for miles along West U.S. Highway 192 Thursday morning. Clarita’s House Outreach Ministry in Kissimmee was holding one of its regular food drops. But Thursday was all but regular, according to Founder and Executive Director Doreen Barker.
