Osceola County attorney fired at commission meeting

Osceola County Attorney Andrew Mai was terminated at the Osceola County Commission meeting on Monday effective immediately with the addition of the county paying up to six months of Cobra insurance. Commissioner Cheryl Grieb made the motion and it passed unanimously.

Osceola County officials are advising that the following roads are tentatively scheduled for resurfacing from Feb. 5 through Feb. 12. •  Country Woods Circle: Country Lane to Country Lane. •  Country Lane: Simpson Road to end of county maintenance.

Man arrested for Kissimmee home invasion

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for home invasion on Jan. 28, after he entered a home and threatened the victims with a gun. According to a Sheriff’s Office report, deputies responded to a Kissimmee home after the victims called for help.

Osceola County Clerk of Court Kelvin Soto will offer residents with a suspended driver license the opportunity to pay overdue court obligations, including traffic tickets, while saving up to 40 percent in additional fees during Operation Green Light 2021 starting Saturday, Feb. 20.

State, county announce new pre-registration system for Covid-19 vaccinations

The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County (FDOH-Osceola) and the Osceola County Office of Emergency Management encourage Florida residents to pre-register for a COVID-19 vaccination by visiting myvaccine.fl.gov.

A survey was recently sent out asking whether the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce  should have the 2021 St. Cloud Business Expo. Here are the the results: · 8% of you responded to the survey · Of those 8%, 69% said we should have it.  That percentage was 5% of the entire membership base.
