Bank Florida in Kissimmee is providing a full service institution, but with a hometown touch. Having just opened in January at 100 Park Place Blvd., Bank Florida is Osceola County’s only “community” bank. What is a community bank?

Expanding exploration: Osceola Library System opens ‘TechCentral’ markerspace

Osceola County residents are now finally able to learn and create in a new tech-rich “TechCentral” makerspace at the Hart Memorial Library in Kissimmee. The space has been undergoing a gradual opening since April 17, after being delayed one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Red Blue & BBQ will be June 19.

Kissimmee Fire Department, Police Department to battle in barbecue

The Kissimmee Police Department and the Kissimmee Fire Department will go head to head in a battle of the barbecue. Kissimmee Main Street will be hosting the Red Blue & BBQ cook-off competition between the two agencies on June 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kissimmee Main Street, 421 Broadway.

A Kissimmee motorcyclist was killed in Orange County on Wednesday, after a pickup truck turned into his path. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2021 Ram pickup truck being driven by a 48-year-old Orlando man was traveling westbound on Wetherbee Road at about 10:25 p.m.
