The possible arrival later this weekend of Tropical Storm Fred, with another developing system that could be on its heels 10 days from now, comes as national hurricane researchers say to hold on and stay storm ready — this storm season is expected to ramp up and be busy again.

County resurfacing streets near Carroll St. and OBT starting Monday

Harmony High low-cost vet clinic set for ’21

PepsiCo to create 180 jobs by ‘24 at new high-tech Poinciana plant

In a move that nearly happened in 2019 and had been rumored to resurface this year, PepsiCo has formally announced plans to build a $180 million, 355,000 square-foot megafulfillment center that could employ 180 people in full-time jobs in the Poinciana area.

Work begins on new Interstate 4-County Road 532 “diverging diamond” interchange near ChampionsGate

Improvements have begun on a new interchange at Interstate 4 and County Road 532 (Osceola-Polk Line) Road to reconfigure it to a diverging diamond interchange (DDI). The changes aim to make the intersection safer while allowing for increased capacity at a location of nearly daily congestion.
