Kings Highway, a major arterial road for residents living south of Neptune Road, will be repaired and get a new surface between Taylor Ridge Loop and Pine Island Road, starting Monday (Aug. 14) through Aug. 25. The road will be done from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday, Main Street was closed just north of downtown Kissimmee while Kissimmee Police investigated a traffic fatality that involved a pedestrian crossing the street.  The investigation had Main Street closed from Oak Street to Neptune Road for nearly three hours late Monday morning.

A third week of double-digit cents-per-gallon increases has pushed Florida gas prices to their highest levels of 2023, AAA reported Monday morning. After surging 18 center per gallon last week, the state average reached a new 2023 high of $3.84 per gallon – topping the previous high of $3.
The closure is in effect from Macy Island Road to Cross Prairie Parkway.

Henry Partin Road to close to resurfacing this week

Osceola County announced Friday that Henry Partin Road, west of Neptune Road past Macy Island Road, will be closed for repair and resurfacing. The repair is expected to begin Wednesday, Aug. 9 and go through Friday, Aug. 18, although weather could affect that schedule.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement announced Friday it had made another arrests in a string of fuel thefts from a gas station south of Kissimmee.
