Details are still coming out about a local man arrested in connection with a sexual abuse case.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that Juan Pablo Monterroso-Morataya, 38, was arrested Monday and charged with 21 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years old, four counts of showing obscene material to a minor and one count of sexual battery.
According to a release, Sheriff’s deputies received a report of sexual abuse on two minors, across multiple jurisdictions. Detectives with the Special Victims Unit investigated the allegations and interviewed Monterroso-Morataya Monday, who cooperated with deputies. He was booked in the Osceola County Jail, where records show he is being held on no bond.
An arrest report was not yet available through court records as of late Tuesday afternoon.
