The R.I.S.E. Up Osceola: READ Bus, a renovated yellow school bus with an interior that resembles a mini pre-K classroom, will be at the Library on Monday, Sept. 28 for children ages 3-4. ere will be two times for this event—9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Rhythm, Rhyme & Storytime takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 10:30-11 a.m. This program is for children to age 5. Sing, swing and sway through this program dedicated to music and movement. Then, Baby and Me takes place from 11:30 a.m.12 noon. Hug your little ones up to 18 month while sharing this special first-time experience. This program introduces books with playtime and repetitive music.
Flex Your Fingers takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Spend quality time with your preschooler in a kid’s centered learning environment. Participate in pre-planned activities that encourage the development of e motor skills.
The Wishing Spell takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. School aged children may enter the magical world of The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell! Crack enchanted clues, conquer a charmed escape room, create magical keep sakes and bring the fairy tale story to life.
Poinciana Library is located at 101 N. Doverplum Ave. All Library programs are free and open to the public.
The Solivita Community Yard Sale, open to the public, takes place on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in Freedom Park (354 Village Dr. Guests of all ages are welcome. The community yard sale will take place rain or shine.
Now is a great time to take pictures of your home before you start decorating for the holidays and submit your nomination for the Poinciana Beautiful Awards Program. Poinciana Beautiful was created in honor of residents who take excellent care maintaining the exterior of their homes. The winning homes are selected by a panel of judges, with one home from each participating Village crowned “Poinciana Beautiful Home of the Year”. In addition to bragging rights, those honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony, receive a trophy and numerous prizes and gifts from the numerous sponsors.
