Rotary International has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years through the End Polio Now program.
The second annual Rotary Club of Kissimmee West “Rise & Run 5K @ NeoCity”, returns for its second year in NeoCity at the Center for NeoVation (across the street from NeoCity Academy), will be Saturday, Oct. 17. Registration starts at 7 a.m., the 5K will run at 8 a.m. and a kids' fun run will follow at 9.
Cost is $35 per person through Oct. 10, $40 Oct. 11-16 and $45 per person on day of 5K, and $30 per person for a Team Entry of five or more participants. The event will benefit the club's Help Now and End Polio charitable programs, raising money for domestic violence survivors through Help Now of Osceola and eradicate and educate on ending Polio globally. The event will include refreshments, a silent auction, booths with a variety of businesses, including the NeoCity Academy volunteers and more. Everyone who participates will receive a finishers medal and the top 10 male and female finishers will also be recognized. Bring your team and try to win the titles of the Largest Team, Most Creative/Spirited team, or Service Above Self team.
