A 23-year-old St. Cloud woman died early Monday morning when Florida Highway Patrol troopers say her vehicle ran off a road and crashed into a tree.
The incident occurred on Jones Road near Zuni Road just after 3 a.m. Troopers say the driver's 2023 Mercedes C-Class failed to negotiate a curve traveling southbound on Jones, ran off the roadway right, struck a fire hydrant then entered the woodline and struck a tree. The woman was pronounced dead on scene, FHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
