Ground has broken on an expansion of the city ball field complex on 17th Street, and with work beginning Monday, it means fences will be installed to block access beginning Monday (Nov. 18) to three areas around the complex to make way for construction.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, the Central Florida Expressway Authority will hold an informal community open house to discuss the Project Development and Environmental Study regarding the proposed elevated expressway along the median of Cypress Parkway (the Southport Connector). It will be held from 3-7 p.m.
