The 8th annual Florida Farm Show, Florida’s largest agricultural trade show, will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Road) starting at 9 a.m. both days. Admission is $5 before 3 p.m. and $10 after 3:00 p.m. There will be over 200 local vendors, heavy equipment retailers, food, family fun, educational opportunities, and live music by country music artists such as Blanco Brown, Southerland, Diamond Dixie and more. The mission of Florida Farm Show, Inc. is to expand public awareness and understanding of the vital role Florida agriculture and natural resources have within our global community.
The 8th Annual Kenansville Swamp Cabbage Festival, 1180 S. Canoe Creek Road (the Old School House) will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Also on hand will be craft vendors, entertainment, raffles and a bounce house. Enjoy barbeque ribs or chicken, beans, coleslaw and swamp cabbage for $10.

If that weren’t enough, it’s also the weekend for the 28th Annual Battle at Narcoossee Mill. The Civil War-era re-enactment will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Chisholm Regional Park (4700 Chisholm Park Trail). Open to the public each day at 9:30 a.m., battles begin at 2: p.m. Admission is $10, ages 5 to 11, $5 and under 5 free, with discounts for active military. Sponsored by the City of St. Cloud and Parks & Recreation, the Jacob Summerlin Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans and Fat Boys Barbeque. The event includes authentic artillery, cavalry, infantry, sutlers (Civil War era merchants) and period vendors. Attendees can also visit Civil War area camps. There will also be activities for children, live music from the band 7 Lbs. of Bacon and barbeque on-site. It’s not too early to talk about Easter! The Moonlight Adult Egg Hunt will be on Friday, April 8 from 7-10 p.m. at the Ranch at St. Cloud. This City of St. Cloud event requests that you bring a flashlight and wear comfortable shoes. This event is for adults 21 and up. The fee is $15 per person, pre-registration is required by April 1.
