Osceola County Animal Services will host a Pup-Sicle Poolooza Adoption Event on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This summer pool party at the Shelter offers free pet adoptions, pet friendly pools, water themed fun and games for everyone. Masons and the Holocaust presented by St. Cloud Masonic Lodge No. 221 will be on Thursday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. A special lecture from the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida will speak to Masons about the Holocaust. This event will be held at 909 Oregon Ave.
The Dream Center, founded by Miguel and Janelle Adorno, is a resource center with a food pantry, senior assistance and youth development programs. Operation Backpack 100 School Supplies is an initiative which looks to gift the children in the community for the upcoming schools year. The Dream Center is looking for backpacks, copy paper, crayons, notebooks, glue sticks, pencils, scissors, erasers, pens, colored pencils and sheet protectors. Hopkins Heroes is also accepting donations for its school uniform swap at their Back 2 School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 10. Hopkins Heroes is collecting gently used school items such as polos (any color), bottoms (tan, blue, black, jean) jackets/ sweaters (no pullovers), shoes, bookbags and school supplies for all ages.
