Join Hopkins Park Community Garden Day on Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. Wear closed-toe shoes and help work the Community Garden. Tools and gloves will be provided. If able, bring a dish to share for the lunch which will follow. For more information, call 407-892-2511.
The Peghorn Pig Out 2022 presented by St. Cloud Parks and Recreation takes place on Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Peghorn Nature Park and Trail (1201 Peghorn Way). This free annual event will have live music, free barbeque, horseshoes, local vendors, exhibitors, blacksmith demo, nature trail and free barbeque (with the help of the Fine Swine of Boy Scouts Troop 9). A kickoff meeting for MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) will be held today (Sept. 1) from 5-7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Library St. Cloud Branch (810 13th St.). This meeting is a way for moms to come together, build community and resources, have fun and be encouraged to grow as mothers. MOPS is a faith-based organization and welcomes all mothers with children up to age 5. To find out more about MOPS, go to MOPS.org.
We don’t talk about Bruno! The next Movie at the Lakefront takes place on Sept. 10 from 7- 10 p.m. at Lakefront Park. The movie which will be shown is Disney’s Encanto. Bring your chair, snacks and blanket — and your kids’ singing voices — and settle in for a free movie night. The movie will begin just after sunset.
The St. Cloud Marina Banquet Hall will hold an Open House on Sept. 14 from 5-7 p.m. The City of St. Cloud staff and event professionals will be available to answer your questions regarding using this venue for your next special occasion.
