ST. CLOUD NEWS — MetroPlan survey; summer arts camps for the kids

MetroPlan Orlando is looking for feedback to help guide future regional planning efforts. There is a 12-minute survey for those interested. The deadline to respond is Friday, April 10. To complete the survey, go to www.bit.ly/4ssH0LK.

 

Osceola Arts Summer Camp 2026 registration is officially open. The camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 7-14. One of the sites is at Ross E. Jefferies Elementary School. Each session of camp is $225 and concludes with a showcase on Friday at 3 p.m. where families can celebrate what campers have created. Every session is a different theme.

DreamWorks & Pixar: “Broadway in Animation!” Step into a world where imagination sings inspired by your favorite DreamWorks and Pixar hits. Campers sing, dance and act their way through scenes and songs that celebrate friendship, courage and creativity. This camp runs June 8-19.

Imagineering Art Camp. This camp is inspired by Disney’s creative process. Young artist dream, design and build like real-life Imagineers. Campers will create concept art, character designs and 3-D models inspired by their favorite Disney films and park attractions. This camp runs June 22-26.DreamWorks Art Studio brings your favorite animated worlds to life through art. Campers will experiment with drawing, painting and mixed media projects inspired by the magic of story-telling and character designs runs July 6-10.Roald Dahi Musical celebrates the imaginative world of Roald Dahl. Campers will bring these timeless stories to life through acting, movement and song and runs July 13-24.Mystery at Center Stage—campers become both detectives and performers as they work together to solve a theater themed mystery musical. This camp runs July 27-31.

The Chris Lyle Aquatic Center Pool located at 2991 17th St., will be closed temporarily closed beginning Wednesday, April 1 for resurfacing improvements. The pool is expected to be open in early May.
