The Friends of the Veterans Memorial Library invite you to the Treasures of Reading Used Book Sale on Thursday, June 5 from 1-7 p.m., Friday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The largest room of the Library will be filled with books organized by subject and age level. Books are $5 per bag (bring your own or buy Friends of the Library bag for $2). This sale is only held twice a year and proceeds go towards community events for the Library.
Murder Mystery Monday takes place on Monday, June 9 from 10-11:30 a.m. This week’s case is The Case of Unfortunate Acrobat. Immerse yourself in a mystery with secrets to unravel and a murder to solve. Registration is required, call 407-892-6910. Lawyers in the Library: Navigating Immigration takes place on Tuesday, June 10. Lawyers will be there from 6-7 p.m. This session is provided by the Immigration Advocates.
For the kiddos, Camp iREAD: Creative Kids takes place on Tuesday, June 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. Tie Dye Camp T-shirts – besides being cool are wild and whimsical. Bring a white t-shirt to create your design. Teens 12-18 are invited to Level Up: Tie Dye later that afternoon from 4-5 p.m.

Join St. Cloud Main Street for Storybook Adventures every Saturday in June! Each week, kickoff your tour at St. Cloud Main Street (903 Pennsylvania Ave.) and pick up a special map that leads you on a stroll through downtown St. Cloud and to different store fronts of participating businesses, each stop revealing a page of a story. The grand finale, every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., is where you will have the chance to chat with the authors, grab an autographed book and snap some fun photos. The first 20 families that show-up will get a free signed book. Children can dress in costumes, inspired by the story and go to the St. Cloud Twin Theater at 10:30 a.m. If you attend all eight events, you will be entered to win tickets to Wild Florida.
The inaugural AMVETS Redneck Games Fundraiser takes place on Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at Post 33 located at 4310 Deer Run Road. Comb your mullet and dress the part! Admission is $10. There will be a costume contest, cornhole tournament, Butter’s Banana Challenge, ring toss, hot dog eating contest, Ping Pong Twerk, balloon pop, TP Challenge, spam carving, seed spitting, Plinko and a dunk tank.
