The Close-Out Community Event, before the original Reedy Creek building closes for a new one for the 2026-2027 school year, takes place on Saturday, April 25 from 9-11 a.m. This is your chance to reminisce with friends and celebrate the community that made it so special. Put on your boogie shoes! The Association of Poinciana Village’s (APV) Disco Night Bingo hosted by Bibi Polanco from Humana takes place on Friday, April 24 at the Poinciana Community Center. The doors open at 6 p.m. and first ball drops at 7. Get 10 games for $5 with cash prizes. The concession will be open for food and beverages and basic Bingo supplies (no outside food or beverage allowed). This event is for adults 18 and over.
Summer is right around the corner. Stop by Christian Preparatory School on Thursday, April 23 from 4-6 p.m. and check out the Summer Fun Open House and meet Chase & Skye— two of the main characters from the children’s series PAW Patrol. There will be a free book giveaway (Learning Partners for Success Fair), family fun activities— games, crafts and more. Tour the school and meet the teachers as well.
Here is another summer camp option for children grades 1-10. Pleasant Hill Academy (140 Pompei Dr.) will hold a sports clinic summer camp, Monday, July 13 to Thursday, Aug. 6, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
