Meet with your police at these outreach events

Get to know your local law enforcement and attend these fun community outreach events!

Bubble Pops with St. Cloud Cops happens on Friday, Sept. 27 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Bubble Pops, 4525 Old Canoe Creek Road. The St. Cloud Police Department is hosting this informal yet informative night of “Boba and Banter” with the Community Engagement Team.

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police and community partnerships with neighborhood camaraderie. The St. Cloud Police Department invites the community to join them for an evening of games and activities, safety presentations, live DJ, food trucks, touch a truck display and more. This free event will be held at the St. Cloud Lakefront Park, on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 4-7 p.m.

Did you know that Wednesday, Oct. 2 is National Coffee with a Cop Day? Celebrate with the St. Cloud PD day at Vanessa’s Coffee Shop, (3350 Canoe Creek Road) from 9-11 a.m. Chief Douglas Goerke and members of the St. Cloud Police Department with the Community Engagement Unit are hosting this informal meeting and will answer questions and hear concerns.

Osceola Community Health Services will bring its Medical Mobile Unit to the Narcoossee Community Park, 5354 Rambling Road, on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is for residents of St. Cloud and nearby areas, is free and includes blood glucose testing and blood pressure monitoring.

The St. Cloud Womens Club’s Ninth Annual Craft Show, which is a scholarship fundraiser, will be on Saturday, Sept. 28th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center. Vendors include jewelry, home décor, cakes, wreaths, purses and more. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Concessions include hot dogs, beverage and snack stand. The Women’s Club of St. Cloud is welcome to all! Meetings are at 12 noon the third Wednesday of every month at the St. Cloud Womens’ Club building (1012 Massachusetts Ave).

E.S.O.L. for Beginners allows others to become more familiar with the English language. This class will be held at the St. Cloud Library on Friday, Sept. 27 from 10-11:30 a.m.

Gardening Series: Gardening in Small Backyards takes place on Monday, Sept. 30th from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Bring the joy of gardening to you by learning tricks and how to create a beautiful garden in small spaces. This series is presented by UF/IFAS Extension.

Central Florida Business Networking Group shares ideas and opportunities with fellow professionals representing a variety of different local businesses. This group will meet at the Library on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 9-10:30 a.m.

A.I. for Seniors and Beginners will be at the Library on Tuesday, Oct. 1st from 1011 a.m. Presented by Professor Adam Simon, this class will teach about artificial intelligence and how it can be used in everyday life for information.

The St. Cloud Library is located at 810 13th St. All Library programs are free and open to the public.

Hometown Harvest at Sunbridge is open to the public and takes place on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 6197 Cyrils Dr. The Harvest features a live country band, tractor pull hayrides to Pioneer Park, a pumpkin decorating station, petting zoo, food vendors, photo ops and more.

The Rotary Club of St. Cloud presents Casino Cash Bash on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 5-9 p.m. The $75 ticket, which is a donation, includes access to a variety of casino games including blackjack, poker, roulette and more. Tickets also include a stash of casino chips, cash prize drawings and hors d’oeuvres.

Casino Cash Bash will be held at the St. Cloud VFW Post 3227, 915 New York Ave.
