Input sought on the Poinciana Boulevard Road Project

Osceola County is seeking community input on the Poinciana Boulevard Road Project.  

The public is invited to learn about options concerning capacity and safety needs along Poinciana Boulevard on Thursday, Feb. 4.  

The county is offering three ways to participate: In person, at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave. Attendees can come any time between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members and provide comments.  Osceola County requests advanced registration for this option by contacting the Project Manager at https://bit.ly/35ayzvX.  

Attendees will be required to wear masks and follow all safety protocols.  

The second option is to participate in a Virtual (online) Public Meeting (VPM) from a computer, tablet or mobile devise. The VPM will begin at 6 p.m. Advanced registration is also required at https://bit.ly/35ayzvX. (VPM is not supported by Internet Explorer, use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).

Lastly, is the phone option (listen only). Participants may also call in by dialing 1-562-247-8422 and enter passcode 662249289 when prompted. A Cupcake Decorating Party will be Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Anthony DePalma Center, 395 Marigold Ave. There will be two sessions to accommodate social distancing requirements. The first session is at 1 p.m. followed by a 2:30 p.m. session. The APV 2021 Village Board Elections is on Tuesday, Feb. 9, between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave.  Poinciana home and property owners are permitted to vote in this election.  Visit https://www.apvcommunity.com/2021-election-info for a list of this year's candidates.

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) has organized a pre-Valentine’s Day celebration that residents are cordially invited to. International Wine Pairing-an educational wine tasting experience, pairing wine with light bites and music will be Saturday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave.

The fee to participate is $15 per person and includes an assortment of 5 wine tastes served by professional sommeliers, education on history and types of wine, food pairing and a chance to win a door prize.

Payment and advanced registration is required.  Register and pay at the Community Center by Friday, Feb. 5.
