Here is some early voting information for both Polk and Osceola County residents in Poinciana.

Early voting starts Monday, Oct. 19, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Polk County residents in Poinciana may vote early at the Poinciana Community Center, 395 Marigold Ave. Poinciana residents in Osceola County may vote at the Gym and Aquatic Center, 625 Country Club Drive.

Early voting can save you from long lines on Election Day.

The Poinciana Area Council’s (PAC) school supply drive is still in need of donations. In addition to crayons, pencils, notebooks and glue sticks there are some “different” items that our local schools need right now. These items include: ear buds or headphones, highlighters, boxes of tissues, gallon size Zip-lock bags, hand sanitizer, dry erase markers, 3 by 3 sticky notepads and 3 by 5 lined index cards.

All year long you may drop these supplies at these local Poinciana businesses: Poinciana Medical Center, 325 Cypress Parkway, and both locations of Riviera Spa and Massage,395 Village Drive, Solivita, and 1060 Cypress Parkway. In Kissimmee, the drop-off location is at Kissimmee/ Osceola Chamber of Commerce, 1425 E. Vine St., Kissimmee.

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) has decided, due to CDC guidelines and recommendations, to cancel this year’s Trunk or Treat event. Instead, APV is asking families to submit photos of their house decorations and costume– clad trick or treaters.

APV will feature these photos in the Poinciana Pioneer, through email and social media.
