The City of St. Cloud’s Historic Preservation Board will hold a workshop on June 14 at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the City’s nomination for the National Register of Historic Places. Property owners within the proposed St. Cloud National Register Historic District are encouraged to attend to learn, ask questions and provide feedback.
The St. Cloud National Register Historic District closely mirrors the boundaries of the existing Historic District, bounded by 9th Street, Wisconsin Avenue, Ohio Avenue between 9th and 12th Streets, Indiana Avenue between 12th and 13th Streets and 13th Street.
At the workshop, representatives from the Florida Bureau of Historic Preservation will present information and the City’s Historic District nomination and will discuss how the National Register designation would impact property owners.

June is Men’s Health Month. The City of St. Cloud will host a Men’s Health “Lunch & Learn” will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Cloud Marina (1104 Lakeshore Blvd.). This lunch is for adults 18 and up, the cost is $1 per person.
Sponsored by Humana, the purpose is to spread awareness on Men’s health issues, give suggestions on how to stay healthy and prevent disease and the importance of getting screenings and/or checkups prior to symptoms.

The City of St. Cloud presents a Sunset Cruise on June 17 from 7-10:30 p.m. This will be a 3-hour cruise on the Marina Lakefront Park. Then, the following day, get right back to Downtown St. Cloud for a Selfie Crawl, hosted by Phyre GenX Pizzeria, Savvy.Sweets and Loading Gastrobrunch. The Crawl will be June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take 10 pictures at the locations provided around downtown, post and tag those businesses on social media and grab your swag bag when you are done.
The City of St. Cloud is bringing back its Citizens Academy, and applications are now being accepted. The 2022 Citizens Academy is an interactive and fun experience designed to give residents an up-close look at St. Cloud’s city government. The eight-week program starts in September and finishes with a graduation ceremony on Nov. 2.
