Canoe Creek Road widening public meeting

There will be a virtual meeting to discuss the planned widening of Canoe Creek Road on Wednesday, April 29 and an in-person meeting on Thursday, April 30 at the St. Cloud Community Center. Both meetings start at 5:30 p.m. Project personnel will discuss the planned four-lane widening of Canoe Creek Road from the future Southport Connector Expressway to Deer Run Road, a 4.4-mile segment. Search the magical garden filled with fairies and flowers to solve puzzles, uncover hidden clues and escape before time runs out. Escape Room Fairy Garden Adventure takes place on Thursday, April 23 from 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 24 from 2-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 25t from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Cloud Library. This 10-minute escape challenge is suitable for all ages.

 

The community of Sunbridge is hosting Spring Fling. This free fun-filled day takes place at 6197 Cyrils Drive on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. Enjoy entertainment and activities. A petting zoo featuring bunnies, ponies and goats, stilt walkers, a nine-hole inflatable course, balloon artist, sand art station, giant Connect 4, giant Jenga games and a bubble zone will be on site.

 

The City of St. Cloud and Veterans Memorial Library present Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Library. The event features local vendors, eco presentations, live animal encounters, young entrepreneurs’ market, kid’s crafts and a shred truck.

 

The next Downtown Monthly Market takes place on Wednesday, April 29 from 5-9 p.m. String lights twinkle overhead with makers and bakers and music filling the air at this community celebration. Come for the market, stay for a tree at Commissioner Ricky Booth’s Plant and Tree Giveaway. Choose from live oak, magnolias, dahoon holly, sweet gum and long leave pines while supplies last.

In addition, St. Cloud Main Street’s Historic Walking Tours and Historic Ghost Tours will be happening on the 29th. Discover the history of St. Cloud as you explore local landmarks, historic buildings, culture and folk lore. Or take the Ghost Tour and uncover the mysterious side of downtown St. Cloud after dark. Celebrate Building Safety Month at Birdy Buffet Workshop on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the St. Cloud Home Depot, 4500 13th St. Hosted by the City of St. Cloud Building Department and Home Depot, this free family event features activities for kids, like the Home Depot’s Kids Workshop, where they can build their own keepsake box.
