Meals on Wheels fighting isolation and hunger among elderly

Meals on Wheels is about much more than food. Along with their lunches, the program delivers human connection to seniors who may live alone.“Every meal delivered today is more than just food,” said William Santiago, Senior Services Director for the Osceola Council on Aging.

The City of Kissimmee has extended a moratorium on special event requests while the Connect Kissimmee project is going on.

$30,000 donation to fund food pantries in Osceola schools

Tammi Madison has dedicated almost 20 years helping feed people in Osceola County. For 16 years she served with the St. Cloud Food Pantry, and three years ago she founded Pantry Planters, where she helps provide resources and training to those interested in opening a food pantry in Osceola County.
