Toho’s fluoride forums may be moot

Toho Water Authority kicked off the first of four public forums Monday night to gain community input on supplementing fluoride in their drinking water. But, with the state legislature moving toward banning water additives, the effort could end up being a pointless exercise.

Osceola Cooks! gives students a recipe for success

Friday morning at the Embassy Suites in Kissimmee, 125 Osceola County students filled the air with the smell of sauté and the clatter of cookware at the third annual Osceola Cooks! Culinary Competition.

5K raising money to help abuse victims like Madeline Soto

At the second annual Every Child Should Be Protected 5K, a few dozen people gathered to run in the name of protecting victims of child abuse.The event started last year, inspired by the case of slain Kissimmee teen Madeline Soto.

Attempted murder arrest made from Poinciana Publix parking lot shooting

A 23-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with a March road rage incident that escalated into a shooting in the parking lot of a Kissimmee Publix.According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at the Publix located on Cypress On March 30 Parkway.
