The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 5 will hold a community event seeking feedback concerning the intersection of the famed John Young Parkway and Pleasant Hill Road/ Hoagland Boulevard intersection.

Summer means heading to Poinciana’s pools

It’s time to make a splash.  The new summer pool hours are here.  The Mary Jane Arrington Aquatic Center (625 Country Club Dr.) and the Victory Pool (445 Marigold Ave.) are open Wednesday thru Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call 863-427-9000 ext. 701.

Born Learning Trail at Wheel Park Grand Opening Party takes place on Wednesday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at 2401 Peghorn Way.  United Way Born Learning is a set of tools that helps parents, care givers and communities to create learning opportunities for young children.

Do you know a $1 million Florida Lottery winner? You might if you live in Kissimmee. The Florida Lottery announced this week that Racquel Maxey, 41, of Kissimmee claimed a $1 million prize from the Gold Rush Doubler Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

After Osceola County's tourism industry's successful rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic effects, Experience Kissimmee, Osceola's tourism marketing arm, collected over $76 million in Tourist Development Taxes in fiscal year 2021-22, the highest yearly total ever in Osceola County history.
