Hurricane Expo, Sunset Cruise highlight City of St. Cloud's coming events

Hurricane season is officially here, and the City of St. Cloud will present a free Hurricane Expo at the St. Cloud Civic Center on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Expo will provide the public tips from the experts and other helpful information to get residents prepared for what is expected to be an active storm season. For more information, contact St. Cloud Parks and Recreation at 407-957-7243.

It’s Thrive Thursday! The City of St. Cloud and Help Against Hunger East Osceola presents healthy cooking demos, the perfect exercise routine and the best path to a healthier and happier you. Classes will be held every first Thursday of the month beginning today (June 2). This free class is for ages 18 and up, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Hopkins Park (620 East 17th St.) Register online at https://webtrac.stcloud.org or contact 407-957-7243 for more information.

The City of St. Cloud presents a Sunset Cruise on June 17 from 7-10:30 p.m. This will be a 3-hour cruise on the Marina Lakefront Park. The $50 per person fee includes dinner, dancing and beautiful views. Registration deadline is June 10. Register online at https://bit.ly/3M2fY7C or webtrac.stcloud.org. Then, the following day, get right back to the St. Cloud Lakefront. On June 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the community is invited to Experience Osceola, a showcase of the Osceola business community, presented by the Osceola Chamber and Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital. The day will include food, fun and live entertainment for the whole family. There will be crafts, interactive activities and lots of give away items. Enjoy a variety of foods to purchase, as well as adult beverages.

Experience Osceola’s 2022 Charity Partner is the Sunshine Foundation; its purpose is to answer the dreams of chronically ill, serious ill, physically and intellectually challenged and abused children ages 3 to 18, whose families cannot fulfill those requests.
