The Osceola County School District earned a ‘B’ overall district grade for the 2023-24 from the Florida Department of Education.Twelve county schools received ‘A’ grades, and a number of schools raised their grade from 2022-23.

A Gift for Teaching, a resource for teachers that allows them to avoid reaching into their own pockets to provide basic supplies for their students, is in the midst of its annual school supply drive now through Aug. 31.

Tuesday night, late into a four-and-a-half hour meeting, the Osceola County School Board approved a mask mandate similar to one in place in Orange County that allows parents to opt-out their children in writing. The motion passed by a 4-1 vote, with Board member Jon Arguello voting against.
