The Red Cross is now aiding residents from over a dozen units of a Kissimmee apartment complex after an overnight fire.
A fire in a kitchen appliance, possibly an oven, caused smoke damage to units at the Calirosa Apartments, off Thacker Avenue just south of Osceola Parkway. Sprinklers then engaged, which furthered the damage, said officials from the Kissimmee Fire Department, who were dispatched just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
