The Osceola County Sheriff's Office has identified the two bodies found in a Poinciana area home Wednesday afternoon.
Husband and wife Robert Rodriguez, 25, and Shantel Rodriguez, 23, were discovered in a home on Heatherlake Terrace, off Poinciana Boulevard just south of Reedy Creek Elementary School and Poinciana High.
Deputies arrived at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday and found the two deceased.
Sheriff Marcos Lopez has reported that the autopsy has been completed by the Medical Examiner’s Office and it has been ruled to be a murder-suicide. The female was determined to be murdered by stabbing and the male
subject will be listed as suicide by hanging.
Lopez noted Wednesday the mother of one of the victims came to the home from picking up a child and discovered the two deceased. He also noted Wednesday his office was in the process of getting a search warrant for the home.
