It’s almost that time … Fair, Rodeo, and the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade!
This year’s installment of the parade will be held in downtown St. Cloud on Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. The Silver Spurs Riding Club is bringing back the Parade in 2022 and has invited local businesses to join in! 2022 Run for the Cherubs 5K will be held on Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m. at Lakefront Park (1104 Lakeshore Blvd.). The event will be chip-timed by Florida Race Day LLC with live online results. Runners, walkers and strollers are welcome. Registration is $30 for adults 18 and up, $22 for children ages 4-17 and free for 3 years old and under. The entrance fee includes a t-shirt and finishers medal.
The Cherub 5K is hosted by the Graham J. Cowan Foundation, created to honor Cowan’s name and create a legacy in his memory. All proceeds from the 5K will be given to the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies to help families who are experiencing infant loss. To register go to, grahamjcowanfoundation. org. You can pick up your race packet and/or register the day of the race at the registration tent as early as 7:15 a.m. that morning. The 5K will start at 8:30 a.m.
The Florida Friendly Landscaping Series will be held every Monday in February beginning Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Cloud Library (810 13th St.). Each class will discuss two or more of the Florida Friendly Landscaping Principles. Advanced registration is required. For more information, call 321-697-3000.
Hey dads, here’s a chance to book a date with your little girl. The City of St. Cloud will host a Father-Daughter Dance on Feb. 19 from 4-7 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center (3001 17th St.) The cost is $10 per person, and space is limited.
