Plenty to do for St. Cloud kids — and adults

It’s never too early to think about St. Patrick’s Day, right?

The City of St. Cloud will present Paint the Cloud Green – a St. Patrick’s Day Night Parade!  The celebration will take place on Saturday, March 12 with a night parade through the downtown area starting at 7 p.m. at Lakeshore Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue, traveling up to 12th Street, then to Massachusetts and back to Lakeshore Blvd.  Sponsors for this event are OUC, the City of St. Cloud and — Of course! — Shamrock Auto Body.

Registration is open for the City of St. Cloud’s Youth Basketball Skills Development Clinic.  The Clinic will run Jan. 24-28 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Beginner sessions will be on Monday and Wednesday, and advanced sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday. Space is limited and registration is required. The fee is $45 per child for residents.

Registration is now open for Spring St Cloud Youth Football Bulldogs – Flag Football.  Practices start Feb. 28.  SCYF Flag Football is for ages 5 through 14.  Registration fee is $150.  To register go to, https://bit.ly/3A3J6Hu. Harmony (HYFC) Pop Warner Youth Football and Cheer registration is open for the 2022 Spring Flag Football and Cheer season.  The season runs from Feb. 28 to June 3 for ages are 4 to 15. Registration is $150.  To register, go to Harmonypopwarner.com.

 

There’s still time to register for the Redneck Gala!

The 15th annual event is Jan. 29 from 5-10 p.m. at The Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Rd.). A steak dinner, fun and games, a silent auction and entertainment featuring Justin Lee Partin are included. The Redneck Gala is a fundraiser to help support the efforts of St. Cloud Main Street’s mission for economic development and historic preservation in downtown St. Cloud.
