New Orange County testing site not far from north Osceola; testing remains ongoing in-county

Orange County has announced it will open a third COVID-19 testing site on Thursday — that is convenient to those in northern Osceola County.

The South Orange Youth Complex is located on Orange Avenue just north of Wetherbee Road and about two miles north of Cypress Creek High School.

Keep in mind it may be as busy as Orange's two other sites, Barnett Park and Econ Soccer Complex, which have been overwhelmed. Barnett Park reached capacity at noon on Tuesday, and Econ at 1:15 p.m. — they both opened at 9 a.m.

The South Orange Youth Complex will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eyewitness accounts are that the Osceola County site at 65th Infantry Park in Buenaventura Lakes, open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., is also seeing long lines, with traffic spilling out to Buenaventura Boulevard.

Other Osceola County testing sites:

  • Wednesdays - Poinciana Library from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    101 N Doverplum Avenue, Kissimmee
  • Mondays - St. Cloud Library from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    810 13th Street, St. Cloud
  • Tuesdays - West Osceola Library from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    305 Campus St, Celebration

COVID-19 testing remains available by Curative at the main Osceola campus (1875 Fortune Road, Kissimmee).

PCR testing is available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Results will be available in 1-2 days. Registration is available at https://curative.com/sites/31240.
