Start January ’22 with Rockin the Cloud!

Merry Christmas St. Cloud! What are you doing in January? Here’s some ideas.

Get ready to bring in the New Year! The City of St. Cloud and OUC are hosting the 5th Annual Rockin the Cloud on Dec. 31 in downtown St. Cloud from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

This year’s event boasts three stages of live entertainment, with performances from Maiden Voyage, Raspberry Pie, Raging Sun, Harlequin and the event headliner, Tim Montana. Of course, there will be a countdown to midnight and the cloud drop to ring in the New Year.

Event sponsors are Shamrock Auto Body and Service Center, DSK Law, The Garage Bar, Bruise and Blues and Thee Dog House.

When holidays 2021 are done, don’t curb your Christmas tree – S.W.A.P. it!

Instead of just throwing out that dried-out real tree, bring it to the St. Cloud Civic Center (3101 17th St.) on Jan. 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and swap it out for a new tree to plant at home. The St. Cloud Tree Advisory Committee - S.W.A.P. (St. Cloud’s Winning Arbor Patrol) team encourages residents to recycle their Christmas tree towards an investment in continued efforts to restore the Urban Forest.

Swap it for a containerized tree or palm that best suits their needs. The Christmas trees are chipped into mulch and are also given away for free at the event.

If you do not have an old Christmas tree, you can still stop by to get a free tree. To trade out your Christmas tree, it must be free of decorations.

The City of St. Cloud’s Parks and Recreation Department presents Holiday Gala on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 5-9 p.m for ages 18 and up at The Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Rd.) The $25 admission includes dinner, prizes and holiday cheer. To register, go in-person to the Civic Center or online at http://webtrac.stcloud.org.
