Here is a partial list of the community groups and events offering, or accepting, Thanksgiving meals to those who can’t afford to provide for their families this holiday:
St. Cloud Thanksgiving Food Drive and Raffle
Thanksgiving food donations will be accepted at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center in St. Cloud through Nov. 18. Among the suggested items: boxes of stuffing, yams, mini-marshmallows, jars of turkey gravy, boxes of mashed potatoes, canned cranberries, canned green beans, canned corn, corn muffin mix, brown sugar.
Each person who donates will receive a raffle ticket for a holiday-themed gift basket. The drawing will be held Nov. 19.
Iglesias Adventists Poinciana food box donation—Nov. 19
The ministry at 4937 Old Pleasant Hill Road will be donating boxes of food Friday at 3:00 p.m.; 300 boxes of food, including turkeys will be distributed while supplies last.
Clarita’s House Turkey Giveaway – Nov. 20
Clarita’s House Outreach Ministry, a non-profit program for the homeless and disadvantaged, will hold its second free Thanksgiving turkey giveaway on Nov. 20 from 1-3 p.m. at Morningstar Storage (1751 Ball Park Rd., Kissimmee).

St. Cloud Parks & Rec Thanksgiving Drive-Thru – Nov. 20
The City of St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Department has teamed with sponsors to hold a Thanksgiving Drive-Thru event on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Cloud Community Center (3101 17th St.). Recipients will receive a turkey voucher and food items for their family’s Thanksgiving meal. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required by calling 407-957-7243, emailing parksandrecreation@ stcloud.org, or going in person to the Community Center.
Kissimmee Main Street Thanksgiving Dinner
Join Kissimmee Main Street to give thanks, and look back on the year’s blessings. Eat, drink and be thankful as the restaurants of Historic Downtown Kissimmee will cook a holiday meal with all the fixings, and it’s open to all!
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Clarita’s House Thanksgiving Event – Nov. 25
Clarita’s House Outreach Ministry, a non-profit program for the homeless and disadvantaged, will hold its 10th annual Thanksgiving event on Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4698 W. U.S. Highway 192 (Central Motel, one block west of Siesta Lago Drive). It is a drive-thru event (walk-ups only without transport). Join Clarita’s House for a free hot meal, groceries for hotel families, clothes, a care package for the homeless, and more.
