It’s time for the Great Pumpkin Smash in St. Cloud! Instead of letting your old pumpkin haunt the landfill, break it down and have fun in creative ways to compost it. Pumpkins will be smashed on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Centennial Park, (1214 10th St.). Leftover Halloween candy will also be collected for Soldiers’ Angels Treats For Troops. The City of St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Department invites all residents to celebrate and honor our Veterans on Saturday at Veterans Park (1201 13th St.) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a special tribute concert.

The Third Annual St. Thomas Aquinas 5K “Crusader Crawl 2021” will be held on Nov. 13, at Lakefront Park, (1104 Lakeshore Blvd.) in St. Cloud.
St. Thomas is a non-profit organization and all funds raised will go towards it scholarship fund, which provides tuition assistance to families that are in need to attend the school. This year, St. Thomas is partnering with Florida Race Day Race Timing Company to make this race an official Chip Time Race. Awards will be given to the top 10 male and female finishers. Participants are invited to walk or run this race. This is a family event, encouraging racers of all ages. The race starts at 8 a.m.
The last day for on-line registration is this Saturday. Any registration after that date must be on paper form. Entry fee for the Crusader Crawl is $20 for adults and $10 for ages 10 and under.
