Seasonal activities are about to begin. For starters, the Pumpkin Patch Festival at Green Lakes Farm is almost here. Green Lakes Farm is located at 3705 S. Poinciana Blvd. The Pumpkin Patch Farm Festival will begin on Fri., Oct. 1 and run till Oct. 31, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The admission fee is $20 per person, Mondays through Thursdays and $25 per person Friday through Sunday. Admission price includes parking, hay rides to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin, petting zoo, horse and pony rides, bounce house, seasonal activities, a variety of shows and plenty of photo opportunities.
Beginning Oct. 15 — for the brave — the farm will fire up the Wagon of Doom for the Green Lakes Farm Chainsaw Massacre nightly from 7-9 p.m. for ages 13 and up. For $10 per person, Halloween revelers can face their fears on the terror tour as they travel the farms dark hunted woods in the Wagon of Doom.

Trunk registration for the Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) annual Trunk or Treat event is now open. Trunk or Treat will be held Sat. Oct. 30, from 6-9 p.m. Trunk Treaters decorate their trunk and fill them with candy for Trick or Treaters at the parking lot at the Poinciana Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.)

OneBlood will be onsite at Poinciana Medical Center (325 Cypress Pkwy.) today, Sept. 23. They will be accepting blood donations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All donors will receive cancer awareness socks, a OneBlood t-shirt, a $20 e-Gift card, plus a wellness check that includes COVID-19 antibody test.
