A 44-year-old Altamonte Springs man was killed on eastbound Interstate 4 in Osceola County Saturday night when his car hit a guardrail and flipped over, Florida Highway Patrol has reported.
The man was driving a Honda SUV approaching the I-4 East interchange with State Road 429 in the left lane around 8:23 p.m. Saturday, when an FHP report said the car left the roadway and collided with the inside shoulder guardrail. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn onto the grass median. The driver, the only occupant in the vehicle, was entrapped, FHP stated, and pronounced deceased on-scene.
This crash, which closed the left eastbound I-4 lane through the area for a left of time after the incident, remains under investigation.
