Weather Watching

The week is not looking good with showers and thunderstorms quite numerous everyday. I do not see a day for the next week with chances of rain less than 50% and some days it'll be at least 70%. Some of these storms bring winds over 50 miles an hour and they have been quite numerous for several days now. Claudette  made landfall last weekend with 81 mile per hour wind in Pensacola and serious flooding in Alabama. Due to wind shear in the upper atmosphere over the Atlantic and a cloud of dust coming from Africa, we don't expect a threat of any big hurricanes on the east coast of Florida through mid-July.

We have a full moon coming up on Thursday but it will also appear full the night before and the night after. This full moon is called the Strawberry Moon. Some folks   were inquiring when the sun starts setting earlier? July 5th is the latest Sunset of the year and then the Sun starts going down about 30 seconds earlier each day and by the end of July   it sets 15 minutes earlier than it did at the start of the month.
