St. Cloud, FL – On May 20th, 2021, acting on tips from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMEC), members of the St. Cloud Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit served a search warrant on the residence of Michael Anthony Belmares, 62. The search warrant revealed hundreds of images depicting child erotica and child pornography in a room and on a cell phone belonging to Belmares. Photos were also located inside Belmares’s dresser, which also contained children’s undergarments.
Belmares was charged with thirty (30) counts of Possession of Images Depicting the Sexual Performance of a Child and is being held at the Osceola County Jail with a bond of $75,000. This is an active open investigation with additional charges coming.
