There is something to be said for a community willing to help the local travel baseball team.
One member of the community, Dr. Amy Charlton, of Countryside Animal Hospital, donated $500 dollars to the FOB 12U Travel Baseball Team during a letter campaign fundraiser for their trip to Branson, MO to play in the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series in July.
The team mailed out 120 letters to local businesses for donations/ sponsorships. One business answered the call and that business is Countryside Animal Hospital located at 3304 Canoe Creek Road. Dr. Amy Charlton has lived in St. Cloud since 1999 and after working for 5 years in Orlando, Dr. Charlton opened Countryside Animal Hospital. Countryside Animal Hospital supports many local programs such as the police department’s anti-drug programs, The Florida Baptist Children’s Home, youth rodeo programs and numerous sponsorships of youth activities in St. Cloud.
The money will be used for any fees, costs and incidentals on our way to and including in Branson. The FOB 12U Travel Baseball Team is ready to suit up and bring home a win for the Future of Baseball Training Facility and St. Cloud. If your business would like to contribute to the team’s journey to Branson, send your donations to FOB 12U Baseball c/o Ruben Marrero, 1400 Hamlin Avenue, Unit F, St. Cloud, FL 34771. Any donation, big or small, helps the team.
