Two teens rescued by firefighters from malfunctioned Old Town ride

Two teens were rescued on Thursday at Old Town after a slingshot ride malfunctioned. 

Osceola County Fire Rescue and the Kissimmee Fire Department worked together on Thursday to perform a successful high angle rescue of two teens who  became stuck, suspended 30 to 40 feet in the air on a the ride.

Officials said  "park management reported that a cable failed, while a redundant safety cable remained intact."

The pair had been stuck on the ride for nearly two hours when firefighters used a bucket truck to deliver them to safety. 

Nobody was injured in the incident.
