Easter Bunny coming to Poinciana

Come and meet the Easter Bunny at the Association of Poinciana Villages’ (APV) Easter Bunny Drive-thru on Saturday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will be held at the Mary Jane Arrington Aquatic Center pool parking lot, 625 Country Club Drive. The Easter Bunny will be

The Easter Bunny will be outside while families drive through the parking lot and pick up a bag of Easter goodies (one goody bag per car, minimum 25 candy/ toy filled eggs per bag). Families must stay in their vehicle at all times.

Today, March 11, at 12:30 p.m., the Doc Talk topic will be Boosting Your Immune System. This Facebook page event will be presented by Dr. Daniel Snediker and will discuss on how you can boost your immune system.

High School Seniors who reside in Poinciana or near-by communities (ZIP codes 34758, 34759 or 34746) have a special opportunity to apply for the Poinciana Area Council scholarship for post high school education.

For the 2021 school year, the Poinciana Area Council (PAC) will award two $1,000 scholarships to two deserving students. Even if you currently are zoned to attend another school, either in Osceola or Polk counties, as long as you reside in those ZIP codes, meet other criteria and submit a 500 word essay this scholarship may be awarded to you. The essay topic is “explain your educational goals and future career path. How will achieving your goals impact your community?”

The deadline to apply is March 12.

All winners will be honored at a later date either virtually, or at a sociallydistanced luncheon, if permitted.
