POINCIANA NEWS: APV’s doing July 4th in June—here’s when, and what to see without looking up

The Association of Poinciana Villages’ 10th Annual Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Spectrum, takes place this Saturday, June 27 from 6-10 p.m. at Vance Harmon Amphitheater (625 Country Club Dr.) Admission is free and is open to the public.

“From live entertainment to family friendly activities to our amazing fireworks show, this event is truly spectacular. I invite everyone in the Poinciana area to join us as we celebrate this great nation,” said APV General Manager Mark Maldonado.

The event features live music on the main stage, from Stella Beat Band, a latin/ top 40’s band from Orlando. Entertainment also includes Illumitron Stilt-Walker, Disco Girl and a magician along with Jumper Stilt-Walker. Attendees can also visit the interactive Kids Zone with inflatables, face painters and balloon artists, as well as several vendors, crafters and food trucks. The night concludes with a fireworks celebration commemorating the United States of America’s 250th Birthday at 9 p.m., orchestrated by Pyrotecnico.

Carpooling is encouraged. Free shuttle pick-up and parking will be located at the Poinciana Activity Campus (445 Marigold Ave.) The shuttles will be circling every 20 minutes from the campus to the event venue from 5-11 p.m. stopping only during the fireworks display.

 

There are 2 opportunities to watch Family Movie Matinee: Dora and The City of Gold. Teenage explorer Dora leads her friends on an adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind the Lost City of Gold. This movie will be shown on Friday, June 26 from 2-4:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Poinciana Library. Bring a blanket and pillow from home and get comfy.

 

Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington invites residents 55 and over to join in on Mega Bingo on Friday, June 26 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Poinciana Library. Enjoy Bingo, prizes and community fun. RSVP through the District 3 Mega Bingo June 26, 2026 Facebook event.

 

Adult Bingo is offered every Friday night at the Poinciana Community Center. Friday, June 26 will be a little different—it’s Pajama Friday Bingo! This Bingo party is for adults ages 18 and up. The cost is 10 games for $5, with cash prizes awarded. Concession stands will be open for food and beverages and basic supplies (no outside food or beverage allowed). Doors open at 6 p.m. with first ball pulled at 7 p.m.

 

The Father’s Day celebration continues with Valora Medical Group Poinciana on Saturday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4551 Pleasant Hill Road. The Dad with Style an event features skewers, raffles and a Hat and Cap contest. Bring your best style. Prizes will be awarded for best attire.
