As the Southport Connector Expressway moves towards the design and construction phase, CFX is reviewing project phasing and funding options. Following community engagement and government partner coordination, CFX on December 11th, 2025 approved the preferred alternative for the Southport Connector Expressway. Foam-Palooza takes place at the Library on Wednesday, June 3rd (until Wednesday, July 22nd) from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Kick-off Summer Learning with messy outdoor fun. Adults are invited back to the Library on Wednesday, June 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for Now He Belongs to the Ages – The Lincoln Assassination presented by historian and author Christopher Daley, this America250 program takes you back to the place where the Lincoln assassination saga unfolded and learn about one of the history’s most infamous nights.
Legacy in the Land: Voices of Indigenous Artifacts takes place on Friday, June 5th at 12 noon at the Library. Presented by Alex Nasharr, Osceola County Historical Society Curator. Unearth the rich history of Native American people. This interactive program reveals the stories, traditions and legacy of local indigenous communities.
