St. Cloud Captain Anthony Mondello is the fourth SCPD member to graduate from the prestigious FBI National Academy.
UPDATE — On Monday, the Kissimmee Police Department announced that Capt. Danny Schad, who has served as the Criminal Investigations lead and as Deputy Chief, also had been selected to attend and graduated from this prestigious ten-week program.
St. Cloud Police Department Captain Anthony Mondello becomes the latest from the department to graduate from the prestigious FBI National Academy.
The 10-week program brings top law enforcement officials from around the world for advanced training through its core components of academics, physical training and wellness and networking and knowledge sharing.
SCPD announced Friday Mondello was part of the Academy's 297th session, giving him a common bond with Deputy Chief Denise Roberts, Captain Curtis Wesler and even Chief Douglas Goerke from his tenure with the Orlando Police Department in 2019 — all Academy graduates.
To even attend the Academy, a law enforcement officer must be nominated from its agency.
Capt. Mondello is a 14-year SCPD veteran, and has served the department as a patrol officer, sergeant, and lieutenant. He is currently the department’s Patrol Division Captain.
“I am proud of Captain Mondello for his accomplishment. He is a dedicated and hard-working officer who is committed to serving the community.” Goerke said. “His graduation from the FBI National Academy is a testament to his dedication and his commitment to excellence.”
The program covers a wide range of topics, including leadership, ethics, and investigative techniques.
