Health Leadership Council Human Trafficking Community Training

Human trafficking remains a critical issue in our community—Florida currently ranks third in the United States for reported cases—and as a part of an ongoing commitment to community education and safety, the Florida Department of Health in Osceola County is collaborating with the Health Leadership Council to offer, for the first time, a training for community partners and members.

The event will be Thursday, March 26 at 10 a.m. at the Osceola County Housing and Community Services (1392 E. Vine St., Kissimmee). This session will equip attendees with practical knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to human trafficking. Participants will learn about key warning signs, safe and effective reporting practices, available resources for victims and families, how traffickers target vulnerable individuals, and strategies to support individuals who may be at risk.
