St. Cloud Manor man arrested after 'stating his desires to meet up with minors for sex', detectives say

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office made its second major child pornography arrest in three days, and third in just over a week, on Thursday.

Brian David Arthur Belanger, 41, was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of photo/video of sexual performance by a child and unlawful use of a two-way communication device at a St. Cloud home. He is held in the Osceola County Jail on no bond.

According to a Sheriff's report, detectives were notified by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) of an incident regarding an individual possessing child sexual abuse material and soliciting users online for child sexual abuse material. Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit began an investigation into the incident.

Thursday, ICAC detectives served a residential search warrant at a residence in the St. Cloud Manor Estates regarding this incident. Through investigation, the suspect was identified as Brian Belanger. During the investigation, detectives say they located evidence of the suspect stating his desires to meet up with minors for sexual activity. Based on the evidence obtained during this investigation, Belanger was arrested.

There is no evidence that Mr. Belanger has met with any minors, in person, detectives said as their investigation remains on-going.
